The Holy Quran 36:29 — Surah Ya-Sin

Arabic text

إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَٰحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَـٰمِدُونَ

Translation

It was only a single scream (that was needed to punish them,) after which they were (all destroyed like a light that is) suddenly extinguished (in an instant).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ما كان هلاكهم إلا بصيحة واحدة، فإذا هم ميتون لم تَبْقَ منهم باقية.
