The Holy Quran 35:9 — Surah Fatir

Arabic text

وَٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابًا فَسُقْنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٍ مَّيِّتٍ فَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلنُّشُورُ

Translation

Allaah is the One Who sends the winds which carry a cloud. We then waft (lift) it (the cloud) to a dead (arid, barren) land, and with it (the rain) We revive the earth after its death. Thus shall be the resurrection (on the Day of Qiyaamah when dead souls will be revived).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

واللهُ هو الذي أرسل الرياح فتحرك سحابًا، فسقناه إلى بلد جدب، فينزل الماء فأحيينا به الأرض بعد يُبْسها فتخضر بالنبات، مثل ذلك الإحياء يحيي الله الموتى يوم القيامة.
