The Holy Quran 34:22 — Surah Saba

Arabic text

قُلِ ٱدْعُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِيهِمَا مِن شِرْكٍ وَمَا لَهُۥ مِنْهُم مِّن ظَهِيرٍ

Translation

Say, "Call those (gods) whom you worship besides Allaah (to assist you in any way in this world or in the Aakhirah). (However, they are unable to assist you in the least because) They have no control over (even) an atom's weight in the heavens or in the earth. (Let alone having complete power over anything,) They do not even share any partnership in the two, and none of them are assistants to Allaah (because He needs none to assist Him in anything)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قل -أيها الرسول- للمشركين: ادعوا الذين زعمتموهم شركاء لله فعبدتموهم من دونه من الأصنام والملائكة والبشر، واقصدوهم في حوائجكم، فإنهم لن يجيبوكم، فهم لا يملكون وزن نملة صغيرة في السموات ولا في الأرض، وليس لهم شِرْكة فيهما، وليس لله من هؤلاء المشركين معين على خلق شيء، بل الله -سبحانه وتعالى- هو المتفرد بالإيجاد، فهو الذي يُعْبَدُ وحده، ولا يستحق العبادة أحد…
