The Holy Quran 31:13 — Surah Luqman

Arabic text

وَإِذْ قَالَ لُقْمَـٰنُ لِٱبْنِهِۦ وَهُوَ يَعِظُهُۥ يَـٰبُنَىَّ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌ

Translation

(The time deserves mention) When Luqmaan advised his son saying, "O my beloved son! Do not ascribe partners to Allaah. Without doubt, Shirk is the worst injustice (because it equates unworthy beings with Allaah)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

واذكر -أيها الرسول- نصيحة لقمان لابنه حين قال له واعظًا: يا بنيَّ لا تشرك بالله فتظلم نفسك؛ إن الشرك لأعظم الكبائر وأبشعها.
