The Holy Quran 30:57 — Surah Ar-Rum

Arabic text

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يَنفَعُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ

Translation

On this day, the excuses of the oppressors (Kuffaar and sinners) will not benefit them, neither will they be given the opportunity (to make amends for their wrongs by repenting or by pleasing Allaah in any other manner because this opportunity is restricted to this world).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فيوم القيامة لا ينفع الظالمين ما يقدمونه من أعذار، ولا يُطلب منهم إرضاء الله تعالى بالتوبة والطاعة، بل يُعاقبون بسيئاتهم ومعاصيهم.
