The Holy Quran 2:94 — Surah Al-Baqarah

Arabic text

قُلْ إِن كَانَتْ لَكُمُ ٱلدَّارُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَالِصَةً مِّن دُونِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا۟ ٱلْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ

Translation

Say, "If the home of the Aakhirah (Jannah) is entirely for you only and for no one else (as you claim), then wish for death if you are truthful." (If you really believe that Jannah is only for you, why do you not wish for an early death so that you can reach Jannah sooner? If your claim is true, why do you fear death?)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قل -أيها الرسول- لليهود الذين يدَّعون أن الجنة خاصة بهم; لزعمهم أنهم أولياء الله من دون الناس، وأنهم أبناؤه وأحباؤه: إن كان الأمر كذلك فادْعُوا على الكاذبين منكم أو من غيركم بالموت، إن كنتم صادقين في دعواكم هذه.
