The Holy Quran 2:223 — Surah Al-Baqarah

Arabic text

نِسَآؤُكُمْ حَرْثٌ لَّكُمْ فَأْتُوا۟ حَرْثَكُمْ أَنَّىٰ شِئْتُمْ ۖ وَقَدِّمُوا۟ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّكُم مُّلَـٰقُوهُ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Translation

Your wives are your tilling fields (where your seeds are planted) so approach your tilling fields as you desire (from any direction as long as the husband enters the vagina only, so that children can be conceived). And send (good actions) ahead for yourselves (to the Aakhirah). Fear Allaah and know that you will meet Him; and give good news to the Mu'mineen (that they will enter Jannah).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

نساؤكم موضع زرع لكم، تضعون النطفة في أرحامهن، فَيَخْرج منها الأولاد بمشيئة الله، فجامعوهن في محل الجماع فقط، وهو القبل بأي كيفية شئتم، وقَدِّموا لأنفسكم أعمالا صالحة بمراعاة أوامر الله، وخافوا الله، واعلموا أنكم ملاقوه للحساب يوم القيامة. وبشِّر المؤمنين -أيها النبي- بما يفرحهم ويسرُّهم من حسن الجزاء في الآخرة.
