The Holy Quran 2:135 — Surah Al-Baqarah

Arabic text

وَقَالُوا۟ كُونُوا۟ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَـٰرَىٰ تَهْتَدُوا۟ ۗ قُلْ بَلْ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ حَنِيفًا ۖ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

Translation

They say, "Become Jews (said the Jews) or Christians (said the Christians) and you will be guided." Tell them, "(We will) Rather follow the religion of Ibraheem which is not inclined towards any deviation (error) but is inclined to the straight way (the path of Allaah). He was never from the Mushrikeen."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وقالت اليهود لأمَّة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم: ادخلوا في دين اليهودية تجدوا الهداية، وقالت النصارى لهم مثل ذلك. قل لهم -أيها الرسول-: بل الهداية أن نتبع- جميعًا- ملة إبراهيم، الذي مال عن كل دين باطل إلى دين الحق، وما كان من المشركين بالله تعالى.
