The Holy Quran 2:111 — Surah Al-Baqarah

Arabic text

وَقَالُوا۟ لَن يَدْخُلَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَن كَانَ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَـٰرَىٰ ۗ تِلْكَ أَمَانِيُّهُمْ ۗ قُلْ هَاتُوا۟ بُرْهَـٰنَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ

Translation

(Referring to the claim of the Jews that only they will enter Jannah and the claim of the Christians that only they will enter Jannah, Allaah says) They say, "None but a Jew or a Christian will enter Jannah." This is their (false) hope. Tell them, "Produce your proof (evidence that only you will enter Jannah) if you are truthful."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ادَّعى كلٌّ من اليهود والنصارى أن الجنة خاصة بطائفته لا يدخلها غيرهم، تلك أوهامهم الفاسدة. قل لهم -أيها الرسول-: أحضروا دليلكم على صحة ما تدَّعون إن كنتم صادقين في دعواكم.
