The Holy Quran 29:35 — Surah Al-'Ankabut

Arabic text

وَلَقَد تَّرَكْنَا مِنْهَآ ءَايَةًۢ بَيِّنَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ

Translation

Indeed We left behind in them (in those towns) an Aayah (a sign) which is clear to those who have understanding (making it clear to them that this is the plight of those who fail to believe in their Ambiyaa عليهم الصلاة والسلام) (This was seen by the Makkans who went to Shaam).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ولقد أبقينا مِن ديار قوم لوط آثارًا بينة لقوم يعقلون العبر، فينتفعون بها.
