The Holy Quran 29:30 — Surah Al-'Ankabut

Arabic text

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱنصُرْنِى عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

Translation

He (Loot عليه الصلاة والسلام) said, "O my Rabb! Assist me against those who cause corruption (by punishing them)." (Allaah accepted his du'aa and sent some angels to punish them. Before proceeding to punish them, Allaah instructed them to first meet Ibraheem عليه الصلاة والسلام and inform him that a son will be born to him).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قال: رب انصرني على القوم المفسدين بإنزال العذاب عليهم; حيث ابتدعوا الفاحشة وأصرُّوا عليها، فاستجاب الله دعاءه.
