The Holy Quran 28:5 — Surah Al-Qasas

Arabic text

وَنُرِيدُ أَن نَّمُنَّ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةً وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ

Translation

We intended to favour those who were weakened (suppressed viz. the Bani Israa'eel) in the land (of Egypt) by making them leaders (rather than the subjects they used to be), making them successors (who survived after the destruction of Fir'oun's people),

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ونريد أن نتفضل على الذين استضعفهم فرعون في الأرض، ونجعلهم قادةً في الخير ودعاةً إليه، ونجعلهم يرثون الأرض بعد هلاك فرعون وقومه.
