The Holy Quran 28:41 — Surah Al-Qasas

Arabic text

وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَدْعُونَ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ ۖ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ لَا يُنصَرُونَ

Translation

We made them leaders (on earth) who (did no good, but) called (others) towards the Fire (of Jahannam by promoting Shirk). They will not be assisted (against Allaah's punishment) in the Aakhirah.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وجعلنا فرعون وقومه قادة إلى النار، يَقتدي بهم أهل الكفر والفسق، ويوم القيامة لا ينصرون; وذلك بسبب كفرهم وتكذيبهم رسول ربهم وإصرارهم على ذلك.
