The Holy Quran 27:28 — Surah An-Naml

Arabic text

ٱذْهَب بِّكِتَـٰبِى هَـٰذَا فَأَلْقِهْ إِلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا يَرْجِعُونَ

Translation

"Take this letter of mine and throw it to them. Then turn (far) away from them (out of sight but within earshot) and see what reply they give."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قال سليمان للهدهد: سنتأمل فيما جئتنا به من الخبر أصدقت في ذلك أم كنت من الكاذبين فيه؟ اذهب بكتابي هذا إلى أهل "سبأ" فأعطهم إياه، ثم تنحَّ عنهم قريبًا منهم بحيث تسمع كلامهم، فتأمل ما يتردد بينهم من الكلام.
