The Holy Quran 27:27 — Surah An-Naml

Arabic text

۞ قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ أَصَدَقْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ

Translation

He (Sulaymaan عليه الصلاة والسلام) said (to Hudhud), "We shall soon see whether you have spoken the truth or whether you are from the liars." (Even the bird was given a fair trial.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قال سليمان للهدهد: سنتأمل فيما جئتنا به من الخبر أصدقت في ذلك أم كنت من الكاذبين فيه؟ اذهب بكتابي هذا إلى أهل «سبأ» فأعطهم إياه، ثم تنحَّ عنهم قريبًا منهم بحيث تسمع كلامهم، فتأمل ما يتردد بينهم من الكلام.
