The Holy Quran 26:45 — Surah Ash-Shu'ara

Arabic text

فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ

Translation

Then Moosa threw his staff, which (turned into a real snake and) instantly swallowed what (snakes) they conjured (the optical illusions which made the people think that the snakes were real).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فألقى موسى عصاه، فإذا هي حية عظيمة، تبتلع ما صدر منهم من إفك وتزوير.
