The Holy Quran 26:137 — Surah Ash-Shu'ara

Arabic text

إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Translation

"This (warning of punishment) is merely the behaviour of the old men (to threaten and to scare us)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وقالوا: ما هذا الذي نحن عليه إلا دين الأولين وعاداتهم، وما نحن بمعذبين على ما نفعل مما حَذَّرْتنا منه من العذاب.
