The Holy Quran 23:67 — Surah Al-Mu'minun

Arabic text

مُسْتَكْبِرِينَ بِهِۦ سَـٰمِرًا تَهْجُرُونَ

Translation

...in arrogance, mocking it (the Qur'aan) and dissociating yourselves (not wanting to have anything to do with it)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

تفعلون ذلك مستكبرين على الناس بغير الحق بسبب بيت الله الحرام، تقولون: نحن أهله لا نُغْلَب فيه، وتتسامرون حوله بالسيِّئ من القول.
