The Holy Quran 23:118 — Surah Al-Mu'minun

Arabic text

وَقُل رَّبِّ ٱغْفِرْ وَٱرْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ

Translation

Say, "O my Rabb! Forgive (our sins) and show mercy (towards us). Undoubtedly, You are the Best of those who show mercy."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وقل -أيها النبي-: ربِّ تجاوَزْ عن الذنوب وارحم؛ وأنت خير من رحم ذا ذنب، فقبل توبته ولم يعاقبه على ذنبه.
