The Holy Quran 22:46 — Surah Al-Hajj
Translation
Have they (the Kuffaar) not travelled in the land so that (by seeing the ruins of once powerful civilisations), they develop hearts (that are able) to understand (that their plight will be the same as the destroyed nations if they do not accept Imaan) and ears (that are able to) to hear (the truth with the intention of accepting it)? It is really not eyes that become blind (that are affected by blindness that destroys one's life in both worlds), but it is the hearts that lie in bosoms which become blind (to the truth, causing people to be destroyed in this world as well as in the next).
Tafsir (excerpt) —
