The Holy Quran 21:33 — Surah Al-Anbya

Arabic text

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ

Translation

It is Allaah Who created the night, the day, the sun and the moon, each swimming in its own orbit (never straying from its orbit and never crossing the orbit of the other).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

والله تعالى هو الذي خلق الليل; ليسكن الناس فيه، والنهار; ليطلبوا فيه المعايش، وخلق الشمس آية للنهار، والقمر آية للَّيل، ولكل منهما مدار يجري فيه وَيَسْبَح لا يحيد عنه.
