The Holy Quran 21:12 — Surah Al-Anbya

Arabic text

فَلَمَّآ أَحَسُّوا۟ بَأْسَنَآ إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ

Translation

When they (the people of previous nations) sensed Our punishment (calamity coming to them), they suddenly began to flee (headlong) from the town (in an effort to escape the punishment).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فلما رأى هؤلاء الظالمون عذابنا الشديد نازلا بهم، وشاهدوا بوادره، إذا هم من قريتهم يسرعون هاربين.
