The Holy Quran 20:45 — Surah Taha

Arabic text

قَالَا رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَن يَفْرُطَ عَلَيْنَآ أَوْ أَن يَطْغَىٰ

Translation

They said, "O our Rabb! We truly fear that he would be defiant or rebel against us."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قال موسى وهارون: ربنا إننا نخاف أن يعاجلنا بالعقوبة، أو أن يتمرد على الحق فلا يقبله.
