The Holy Quran 20:124 — Surah Taha

Arabic text

وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِى فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا وَنَحْشُرُهُۥ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ أَعْمَىٰ

Translation

(On the other hand) Whoever turns away from My advice (the Qur'aan and Dhikr) shall surely have a narrowed (difficult) life (in this world), and We shall raise him blind on the Day of Qiyaamah (after which his sight will be restored to see Jahannam).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ومن تولَّى عن ذكري الذي أذكِّره به فإن له في الحياة الأولى معيشة ضيِّقة شاقة -وإن ظهر أنه من أهل الفضل واليسار-، ويُضيَّق قبره عليه ويعذَّب فيه، ونحشره يوم القيامة أعمى عن الرؤية وعن الحجة.
