The Holy Quran 20:104 — Surah Taha

Arabic text

نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ إِذْ يَقُولُ أَمْثَلُهُمْ طَرِيقَةً إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا يَوْمًا

Translation

We know best what they will speak (because We have knowledge of the future), when the most sensible one of them will say, "You had stayed (in the world and the grave) only for a single day."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

نحن أعلم بما يقولون ويُسِرُّون حين يقول أعلمهم وأوفاهم عقلا ما لبثتم إلا يومًا واحدًا; لقِصَر مدة الدنيا في أنفسهم يوم القيامة.
