The Holy Quran 20:10 — Surah Taha

Arabic text

إِذْ رَءَا نَارًا فَقَالَ لِأَهْلِهِ ٱمْكُثُوٓا۟ إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًا لَّعَلِّىٓ ءَاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِقَبَسٍ أَوْ أَجِدُ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ هُدًى

Translation

(Remember the time in his life) When (as he proceeded from Madyan to Egypt and was lost,) he saw (what appeared to be) a fire and said to his wife, "Wait (here)! I perceive a fire. Perchance I may bring you a brand (of fire) from there (to give us some light and heat), or I may find some guide at the fire."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

حين رأى في الليل نارًا موقدة فقال لأهله: انتظروا لقد أبصرت نارًا، لعلي أجيئكم منها بشعلة تستدفئون بها، وتوقدون بها نارًا أخرى، أو أجد عندها هاديًا يدلنا على الطريق.
