The Holy Quran 19:59 — Surah Maryam

Arabic text

۞ فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّا

Translation

They (these Ambiyaa were followed by such evil successors who destroyed salaah (by either rejecting the command or by neglecting its performance) and pursued their passions (did as they pleased). Soon they shall meet devastation (in the Aakhirah)...

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فأتى مِن بعد هؤلاء المنعَم عليهم أتباع سَوْء تركوا الصلاة كلها، أو فوتوا وقتها، أو تركوا أركانها وواجباتها، واتبعوا ما يوافق شهواتهم ويلائمها، فسوف يلقون شرًا وضلالا وخيبة في جهنم.
