The Holy Quran 19:44 — Surah Maryam

Arabic text

يَـٰٓأَبَتِ لَا تَعْبُدِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَصِيًّا

Translation

"O my father! Do not worship (serve) Shaytaan (because the object of worship is to please the one being worshipped and worshipping idols pleases only Shaytaan, worshipping idols is tantamount (like) to worshipping Shaytaan). Indeed Shaytaan was ever disobedient to Ar Rahmaan (and therefore deserves no reverence at all)."

يا أبت، لا تطع الشيطان فتعبد هذه الأصنام; إن الشيطان كان للرحمن مخالفًا مستكبرًا عن طاعة الله.
