The Holy Quran 19:29 — Surah Maryam

Arabic text

فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَيْهِ ۖ قَالُوا۟ كَيْفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَن كَانَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ صَبِيًّا

Translation

(Adhering to the instructions of Jibra'eel عليه الصلاة والسلام, she did not answer and) She pointed towards the child (indicating to them that they should speak to the child). They said, "How can we speak to one who is still a baby in a cradle?"

فأشارت مريم إلى مولودها عيسى ليسألوه ويكلموه، فقالوا منكرين عليها: كيف نكلم مَن لا يزال في مهده طفلا رضيعًا؟
