The Holy Quran 19:13 — Surah Maryam

Arabic text

وَحَنَانًا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَوٰةً ۖ وَكَانَ تَقِيًّا

Translation

...and (We granted him the quality of) compassion (towards others) from Ourselves and purity (because of which he never committed any sins). He was abstinent indeed.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وآتيناه رحمة ومحبة من عندنا وطهارة من الذنوب، وكان خائفًا مطيعًا لله تعالى، مؤديًا فرائضه، مجتنبًا محارمه.
