The Holy Quran 17:72 — Surah Al-Isra

Arabic text

وَمَن كَانَ فِى هَـٰذِهِۦٓ أَعْمَىٰ فَهُوَ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَعْمَىٰ وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا

Translation

Whoever is blind (to the way to salvation and guidance) in this world will be blind in the Aakhirah (unable to see the way to Jannah) and will be even more astray (in the Aakhirah because unlike the situation in this world where there is a possibility of repenting, there will be no chance for repentance in the Aakhirah).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

ومن كان في هذه الدنيا أعمى القلب عن دلائل قدرة الله فلم يؤمن بما جاء به الرسول محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم فهو في يوم القيامة أشدُّ عمى عن سلوك طريق الجنة، وأضل طريقًا عن الهداية والرشاد.
