The Holy Quran 14:46 — Surah Ibrahim

Arabic text

وَقَدْ مَكَرُوا۟ مَكْرَهُمْ وَعِندَ ٱللَّهِ مَكْرُهُمْ وَإِن كَانَ مَكْرُهُمْ لِتَزُولَ مِنْهُ ٱلْجِبَالُ

Translation

They plotted their plots, but their plots rest with Allaah (He knows what they plot and makes their plots fail), even though (their plots seem so powerful that) mountains could be displaced by their plots.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وقد دبَّر المشركون الشرَّ للرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم بقتله، وعند الله مكرهم فهو محيط به، وقد عاد مكرهم عليهم، وما كان مكرهم لتزول منه الجبال ولا غيرها لضعفه ووَهَنه، ولم يضرُّوا الله شيئًا، وإنما ضرُّوا أنفسهم.
