The Holy Quran 14:43 — Surah Ibrahim

Arabic text

مُهْطِعِينَ مُقْنِعِى رُءُوسِهِمْ لَا يَرْتَدُّ إِلَيْهِمْ طَرْفُهُمْ ۖ وَأَفْـِٔدَتُهُمْ هَوَآءٌ

Translation

(On that day) They will be running (towards the Plain of Resurrection) with their heads fixed upwards (in astonishment and fright), their gazes never returning to them. And their hearts will be empty (confused and without feeling because of the intense fear).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

يوم يقوم الظالمون من قبورهم مسرعين لإجابة الداعي رافعي رؤوسهم لا يبصرون شيئًا لهول الموقف، وقلوبهم خالية ليس فيها شيء; لكثرة الخوف والوجل من هول ما ترى.
