The Holy Quran 14:32 — Surah Ibrahim

Arabic text

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ رِزْقًا لَّكُمْ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْفُلْكَ لِتَجْرِىَ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِۦ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرَ

Translation

Allaah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and sends rain from the sky, thereby extracting fruits as sustenance for you. He placed the ships at your service so that they may travel (and transport you and your goods) over the oceans by His command and He subjugated the rivers for you (so that you are able to sail on them as well).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

الله تعالى الذي خلق السموات والأرض وأوجدهما من العدم، وأنزل المطر من السحاب فأحيا به الأرض بعد موتها، وأخرج لكم منها أرزاقكم، وذلَّل لكم السفن; لتسير في البحر بأمره لمنافعكم، وذلَّل لكم الأنهار لسقياكم وسقيا دوابكم وزروعكم وسائر منافعكم.
