The Holy Quran 12:107 — Surah Yusuf

Arabic text

أَفَأَمِنُوٓا۟ أَن تَأْتِيَهُمْ غَـٰشِيَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ ٱللَّهِ أَوْ تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

Translation

(Despite rejecting Imaan,) Do they (the Kuffaar) feel secure against a calamity (misfortune) from Allaah's punishment befalling them or (do they feel secure) against the Hour (Qiyaamah) coming to them suddenly without them realising it (without them preparing for it)? (Whether Allaah's punishment strikes them in this world or in the Aakhirah, the Kuffaar ought to realise that there is no time for them to continue as they are. They will soon have to mend their ways before it is too late.)

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فهل عندهم ما يجعلهم آمنين أن ينزل بهم عذاب من الله يعُمُّهم، أو أن تأتيهم القيامة فجأة، وهم لا يشعرون ولا يُحِسُّون بذلك.
