The Holy Quran 11:86 — Surah Hud

Arabic text

بَقِيَّتُ ٱللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ۚ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ عَلَيْكُم بِحَفِيظٍ

Translation

"That which Allaah leaves with you (after you have given others what is due to them) is better for you (than the excess that you wrongfully take from them) if you are Mu'mineen. (I can only advise you for) I am not a warden (guard) over you (and cannot force you to listen)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

إن ما يبقى لكم بعد إيفاء الكيل والميزان من الربح الحلال خير لكم ممَّا تأخذونه بالتطفيف ونحوه من الكسب الحرام، إن كنتم تؤمنون بالله حقا، فامتثلوا أمره، وما أنا عليكم برقيب أحصي عليكم أعمالكم.
