The Holy Quran 11:66 — Surah Hud

Arabic text

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا صَـٰلِحًا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنَّا وَمِنْ خِزْىِ يَوْمِئِذٍ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلْقَوِىُّ ٱلْعَزِيزُ

Translation

When Our order (punishment) came, We saved Saalih عليه الصلاة والسلام and those who had Imaan with him by Our mercy and (We also saved them) from the humiliation of that day (because being the victim of Allaah's punishment is humiliating). Indeed your Rabb is Powerful, the Mighty.

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فلما جاء أمرنا بهلاك ثمود نجينا صالحًا والذين آمنوا معه من الهلاك برحمة منا، ونجيناهم من هوان ذلك اليوم وذلَّته. إن ربك -أيها الرسول- هو القوي العزيز، ومِن قوته وعزته أن أهلك الأمم الطاغية، ونجَّى الرسل وأتباعهم.
