The Holy Quran 11:57 — Surah Hud

Arabic text

فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُم مَّآ أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَيْكُمْ ۚ وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ رَبِّى قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلَا تَضُرُّونَهُۥ شَيْـًٔا ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ حَفِيظٌ

Translation

"So if you turn away, then (know that) I have certainly conveyed to you that (message of Towheed) with which I have been sent to you. My Rabb (does not need you to worship Him because He) can substitute you with another nation (who will be obedient to Him) and (by not worshipping Him) you will not be able to harm Him in the least. Without doubt, my Rabb is Aware of all things."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فإن تُعرضوا عما أدعوكم إليه من توحيد الله وإخلاص العبادة له فقد أبلغتكم رسالة ربي إليكم، وقامت عليكم الحجة، وحيث لم تؤمنوا بالله فسيهلككم ويأتي بقوم آخرين يخلفونكم في دياركم وأموالكم، ويخلصون لله العبادة، ولا تضرونه شيئًا، إن ربي على كل شيء حفيظ، فهو الذي يحفظني من أن تنالوني بسوء.
