The Holy Quran 11:21 — Surah Hud

Arabic text

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ

Translation

These are the ones who have (utterly) ruined (lost) themselves (by adopting the path to Jahannam) and whatever (gods) they fabricated (made themselves) will be lost to them (will be unable to assist them in the Aakhirah).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

أولئك الذين خسروا أنفسهم بافترائهم على الله، وذهب عنهم ما كانوا يفترون من الآلهة التي يدَّعون أنها تشفع لهم.
