The Holy Quran 11:117 — Surah Hud

Arabic text

وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ لِيُهْلِكَ ٱلْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا مُصْلِحُونَ

Translation

It is not (the nature) of your Rabb to destroy cities unjustly when their inhabitants engaged in reformation (Allaah does not destroy people when they are Mu'mineen, actively reforming themselves and others and making an effort to spread their Deen).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وما كان ربك -أيها الرسول- ليهلك قرية من القرى وأهلها مصلحون في الأرض، مجتنبون للفساد والظلم، وإنما يهلكهم بسبب ظلمهم وفسادهم.
