The Holy Quran 10:87 — Surah Yunus

Arabic text

وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَأَخِيهِ أَن تَبَوَّءَا لِقَوْمِكُمَا بِمِصْرَ بُيُوتًا وَٱجْعَلُوا۟ بُيُوتَكُمْ قِبْلَةً وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Translation

We sent revelation (orders) to Moosa عليه الصلاة والسلام and his brother (Haaroon عليه الصلاة والسلام saying to them), "Establish homes for your people in Egypt (make separate colonies, so when calamities fall, you will not be affected at once), make your homes places of worship, establish salaah (despite Fir'oun preventing you from salaah) and give good news (glad tidings) to the Mu'mineen (that We shall soon assist them against their enemies and will enter them into Jannah in the Aakhirah)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وأوحينا إلى موسى وأخيه هارون أن اتخذا لقومكما بيوتًا في «مصر» تكون مساكن وملاجئ تعتصمون بها، واجعلوا بيوتكم أماكن تصلُّون فيها عند الخوف، وأدُّوا الصلاة المفروضة في أوقاتها. وبشِّر المؤمنين المطيعين لله بالنصر المؤزر، والثواب الجزيل منه سبحانه وتعالى.
