The Holy Quran 10:81 — Surah Yunus

Arabic text

فَلَمَّآ أَلْقَوْا۟ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ مَا جِئْتُم بِهِ ٱلسِّحْرُ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُۥٓ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

Translation

When they threw (their sticks and ropes which seemed to turn into snakes) Moosa عليه الصلاة والسلام told them "What you have displayed is magic (and not what I had shown to Firoun). Allaah shall soon eliminate it (destroy its effect). Surely Allaah does not allow the actions of mischief- makers to materialise (to have significant results)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

فلما ألقَوا حبالهم وعصيَّهم قال لهم موسى: إنَّ الذي جئتم به وألقيتموه هو السحر، إن الله سيُذْهب ما جئتم به وسيُبطله، إن الله لا يصلح عمل مَن سعى في أرض الله بما يكرهه، وأفسد فيها بمعصيته.
