The Holy Quran 10:41 — Surah Yunus

Arabic text

وَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل لِّى عَمَلِى وَلَكُمْ عَمَلُكُمْ ۖ أَنتُم بَرِيٓـُٔونَ مِمَّآ أَعْمَلُ وَأَنَا۠ بَرِىٓءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ

Translation

If they reject you (O Rasulullaah), then say (to them), "My actions are mine (and I will account for them if I convey a wrong message) and your actions are yours (only you will have to account for them for I have conveyed the message of truth). You are absolved of what I do and I am absolved of what you do (I will not have to answer for what you do)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وإن كذَّبك -أيها الرسول- هؤلاء المشركون فقل لهم: لي ديني وعملي، ولكم دينكم وعملكم، فأنتم لا تؤاخَذون بعملي، وأنا لا أؤاخَذ بعملكم.
