Ifta’ and Tafaqquh: How the Titles Faqih al-Umma and Mufti A‘zam-i Hind Came to Him

Answer

For all his complete mastery of every science — rational and transmitted, curricular and extra-curricular — God Most High had granted Hazrat Wala such complete mastery in ifta’ and tafaqquh that its like will scarcely be found in the present age. Ifta’ and tafaqquh were Hazrat Wala’s proper subject; it is as though he had been created for this.
