The Years of Study: Maẓāhir ʿUlūm, Deoband, and First Practice in Writing Fatwās

Entry into Maẓāhir ʿUlūm: in 1341 AH he entered Maẓāhir ʿUlūm, and over the course of seven years completed there the curriculum of the sciences up to Jalālayn Sharīf. Entry into Dār al-ʿUlūm Deoband: having spent seven years at Maẓāhir ʿUlūm, he then came to Dār al-ʿUlūm Deoband, and in 1348 AH studied Mishkāt Sharīf and other works.
