Surah Ash-Shams (الشمس)
The Sun · Meccan · 15 ayahs · Juz 30
- 91:1
وَٱلشَّمْسِ وَضُحَىٰهَا
By the (oath of the) sun and its light! (rising and shining)
- 91:2
وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَىٰهَا
By the moon when it follows it (the sun as night approaches) !
- 91:3
وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّىٰهَا
By the day when it illuminates (brightens) it (brightens the earth)!
- 91:4
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰهَا
By the night when it covers (enshrouds) it (the sun)!
- 91:5
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَىٰهَا
By the sky and the One Who created it!
- 91:6
وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَىٰهَا
By the earth and the One Who spread it out!
- 91:7
وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّىٰهَا
By the soul and the One Who perfected it...
