Surah An-Nazi'at (النازعات)

Those who drag forth · Meccan · 46 ayahs · Juz 30

79:1
وَٱلنَّـٰزِعَـٰتِ غَرْقًا
By the oath of those angels who harshly extract (drag the souls of the Kuffaar)...
79:2
وَٱلنَّـٰشِطَـٰتِ نَشْطًا
...(By) those (angels) who (gently extract the souls of the Mu'mineen as simply as they) untie knots...
79:3
وَٱلسَّـٰبِحَـٰتِ سَبْحًا
...those who (speedily take the souls of the dead to the heavens as if they) are swimming along (quickly)...
79:4
فَٱلسَّـٰبِقَـٰتِ سَبْقًا
...who then swiftly race (along with the souls after Allaah instructs them whether the soul should be rewarded among the righteous or punished with the Kuffaar and sinners)...
79:5
فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًا
...and (by the oath of) those (angels) who arrange (to carry out) the commands (of Allaah).
79:6
يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ
The day (of Qiyaamah shall certainly take place) when that (the first blowing of the trumpet) which shakes (things) shall (cause them to) shake (and collapse)...
79:7
تَتْبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ
...to be followed by that (the second blowing of the trumpet) which will follow. (After the first blowing of the trumpet causes everything to perish, the second blowing will bring creation back to life for reckoning.)
