The Holy Quran 9:51 — Surah At-Tawbah

Arabic text

قُل لَّن يُصِيبَنَآ إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَنَا هُوَ مَوْلَىٰنَا ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ

Translation

Tell them, “Only that which Allaah had destined (written) for us will affect us (will happen to us). He is our Protecting Friend and the Mu'mineen should trust only in Him (in all circumstances)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

قل -أيها النبي- لهؤلاء المتخاذلين زجرًا لهم وتوبيخًا: لن يصيبنا إلا ما قدَّره الله علينا وكتبه في اللوح المحفوظ، هو ناصرنا على أعدائنا، وعلى الله، وحده فليعتمد المؤمنون به.
