The Holy Quran 9:117 — Surah At-Tawbah

Arabic text

لَّقَد تَّابَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّ وَٱلْمُهَـٰجِرِينَ وَٱلْأَنصَارِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ فِى سَاعَةِ ٱلْعُسْرَةِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا كَادَ يَزِيغُ قُلُوبُ فَرِيقٍ مِّنْهُمْ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ بِهِمْ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ

Translation

Allaah has certainly turned in mercy towards the Nabi ﷺ and towards the Muhaajireen and the Ansaar who followed him in the hour of difficulty (to Tabook) after the hearts of some of them were almost shaken (causing them to hesitate). Without doubt, He is Most Compassionate and Most Merciful towards them (by blessing them with steadfastness and devotion).

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

لقد وفَّق الله نبيه محمدا صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى الإنابة إليه وطاعته، وتاب الله على المهاجرين الذين هجروا ديارهم وعشيرتهم إلى دار الإسلام، وتاب على أنصار رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الذين خرجوا معه لقتال الأعداء في غزوة (تبوك)
