The Holy Quran 7:145 — Surah Al-A'raf

Arabic text

وَكَتَبْنَا لَهُۥ فِى ٱلْأَلْوَاحِ مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ مَّوْعِظَةً وَتَفْصِيلًا لِّكُلِّ شَىْءٍ فَخُذْهَا بِقُوَّةٍ وَأْمُرْ قَوْمَكَ يَأْخُذُوا۟ بِأَحْسَنِهَا ۚ سَأُو۟رِيكُمْ دَارَ ٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ

Translation

We wrote for him (Moosa عليه الصلاة والسلام) on the tablets (of the Torah) every type of advice and details of everything (that man needs to know). (We told him) "Hold fast to it (to the teachings of the Torah) and command your people to hold on to the excellent commandments it contains. I shall soon show you the abode of the disobedient ones (the territories once occupied by Kuffaar nations that you will soon occupy)."

Tafsir (excerpt) — التفسير الميسر

وكتبنا لموسى في التوراة من كل ما يحتاج إليه في دينه من الأحكام، موعظة للازدجار والاعتبار وتفصيلا لتكاليف الحلال والحرام والأمر والنهي والقصص والعقائد والأخبار والمغيبات، قال الله له: فخذها بقوة، أي: خذ التوراة بجد واجتهاد، وأمر قومك يعملوا بما شرع الله فيها; فإن مَن أشرك منهم ومِن غيرهم فإني سأريه في الآخرة دار الفاسقين، وهي نار الله التي أعدَّها لأعدائه…
